When rabbit liver microsomes were used, the reaction was inhibited by SKF 525-A and by carbon monoxide. The rabbit microsomal preparation was unstable and decayed to 50% of original activity after 10 days of storage at -70°C. The relative order of N-hydroxylation activity in the three species examined was rabbit > guinea pig ≥ rat. Kinetic studies were also conducted.
