Reaction mixtures contained 4 mg protein of microsomes, 1 mM substrate, 60 mM KCl, 4 mM MgCl₂, 4 mM G-6-P, 0.4 mM NADP⁺, and 5 units of G-6 DHase in 0.1 M phosphate buffer (pH 7.4). The mixtures were incubated at 37°C for 20 min. Inhibition percentage was calculated by determining to what extent the yield in the complete system was depressed by the inhibitor.
