Compound | Administration | TDA (% of 1,2-DBE Dose) | 2-HEMA (% of 1,2-DBE Dose) |
---|---|---|---|
2-HEG | Orally | 1.0 ± 0.4 | 29.4 ± 3.2 |
2-HEG | Intravenously | <0.5 | NM2-a |
2-HEMA | Orally | <0.5 | 30.4 ± 2.5 |
2-HEMA | Intravenously | <0.5 | NM |
2-HEG (215 mg/kg; 612 μmol/kg) and 2-HEMA (165 mg/kg; 797 μmol/kg) were administered either orally (solution in arachidis oil) or intravenously [solution in 0.9% (w/v) NaCl] to rats (N = 3 for each compound and administered route), after which TDA and 2-HEMA were measured in urine fractions collected from 0 to 24 hr after administration of the compounds, as described inMaterials and Methods.
↵2-a NM, not measured.
