↵5-a N-Hydroxy-N-phenylacylamide refers to N-hydroxy-N-phenylacetamide andN-hydroxy-N-phenylisobutyramide, from pyruvate and 2-oxoisovalerate, respectively. The activities are expressed as initial velocities, which were determined with 2 mM NOB and 10 mM pyruvate (or 2-oxoisovalerate), with or without 10 mM 2-oxoglutarate.
