The clearances of gallopamil enantiomers by recombinant CYP3A4 (CLrec-CYP3A4) were 0.107 and 0.049 ml/min/mg for R(+)- and S (−)-gallopamil, respectively.

  • 3-a The RAF values for CYP3A4 were calculated as described in Materials and Methods.

  • 3-b The clearance values for CYP3A4 (CLCYP3A4) were estimated as follows: CLCYP3A4 = CLrec-CYP3A4 × RAF.

  • 3-c Expressed as percentage of CLCYP3A4 in the first order rate clearance by human liver microsomes (CLHLM) for substrate disappearance in each microsomal preparation.
