↵1-a The cytosolic fraction from rat liver cells (3 ml, ∼6000 μg/ml protein) was incubated with 1 ml NO gas at 37°C for 30 min. N2O was then measured followed by degassing. Thiol and NAD(P)+ were then measured as described in Experimental Procedures.
