Rat livers were perfused with 1 mM MPTP in the absence and presence of 5 mM 2-OH PM by a recirculation method as described underMaterials and Methods. After a 90-min perfusion, the metabolites in the perfusate and retained in the liver were determined by HPLC as described under Materials and Methods. The values (μmol/g liver/90 min) represent the average of two experiments.
