Male Sprague-Dawley rats received TPN for 7 days containing 0, 0.1 or 4.5% (w/v) glutamine or allowed ad lib rat chow. Hepatic microsomes were prepared as described under Materials and Methods. Duplicate incubations were performed at testosterone concentrations of 250 μM with β-NADPH for 10 min at 37°C.
