Carboxylesterases ES-4 and ES-10 were purified as described earlier (Diczfalusy et al., 1999b) and incubated with LIDO, MEGX, and GX in the absence or presence of the esterase inhibitor BNPP. The numbers represent percentage of conversion as the mean values from duplicate incubations.
