Values are given as mean ± S.D. (n = 3 rats, two skin samples per rat shoulder and haunch). The skin of the back of each rat was cut into four parts. For each animal neat [14C]NMP (400 μl/cm2) was deposited on a piece of skin from the shoulder (Sh) and from the haunch (Ha) position.
