Effect of benzylpenicillin and TEA on the uptake of H2-receptor antagonists by the isolated rat CP

The uptake of cimetidine, ranitidine, and famotidine by isolated rat CP was determined in the presence and absence of benzylpenicillin and TEA at the concentrations indicated. The substrate concentration of cimetidine, ranitidine, and famotidine was 10 μM, and the excess amount of unlabeled substrates represents concentrations of 3, 3, and 1 mM for cimetidine, ranitidine, and famotidine, respectively. Each value represents the mean ± S.E. (n = 3).
