Water solubility and relative lipophilicity of GCs

The relative lipophilicity of GCs was estimated by the chromatographic capacity factor log k0; k′ was determined as k′ = (tR - t0)/t0, where tR is the retention time for the analyte and t0 is the retention time for a non-retained analyte in a given liquid chromatography system.
