Pharmacokinetic parameters of tolbutamide after an oral administration in rats

Tolbutamide was administered orally at a dose of 20 mg/kg to rats 1 h after the injection of pomegranate juice or 5% glucose in phosphoric acid (pH 3) (3 ml p.o., each). Pharmacokinetic parameters were expressed as the geometric mean and 90% confidence intervals (body weight was expressed as the arithmetic mean ± S.D.).
