Effects of combined d-mannitol (0.5 g/kg i.v. bolus) and lactated Ringer's solution (300 μl/min i.v. infusion) on GHB toxicokinetics and toxicodynamics

GHB (1000 mg/kg) was administered by i.v. bolus. Saline or lactated Ringer's solution was administered by i.v. infusion at the rate of 300 μl/min for 4 h. d-Mannitol (0.5 g/kg) was administered by i.v. bolus. For the combined treatment group, lactated Ringer's solution was administered by i.v. infusion (300 μl/min) for 4 h, and d-mannitol (0.5 g/kg) was administered by i.v. bolus. One-way ANOVA followed by Dunnett's test was used to detect statistical significance, n = 3 to 4, mean ± S.D.
