Kinetic properties of recombinant human ALDH1B1

Apparent Km and Vmax values were determined by fitting the data to the Michaelis-Menten equation using SigmaPlot. Data represent mean ± S.E. from three independent experiments carried out in triplicate. The kinetic parameters for NAD+ and NADP+ were determined using propionaldehyde (10 mM) as the substrate. NAD+ (1 mM) was used for aldehyde substrate experiments.
