Effects of treatment with oxidants on kinetic parameters for the human cytosolic sulfotransferase hSULT2A1 catalyzed sulfation of DHEA

The hSULT2A1 was pretreated, either with or without oxidants, at 25°C for 1 hour followed by a 100-fold dilution into a standard assay to determine the rate of sulfation using 200 µM PAPS and concentrations of DHEA ranging from 0.25 to 10 µM. An entry of N/A in the table indicates a K_i value that was greater than 10⁶ µM, and thus no significant substrate inhibition occurred.
