2020, Biochimica et Biophysica Acta - Molecular Basis of DiseaseCitation Excerpt :Dysregulated noncoding genes were not considered for this purpose. DEGs were annotated based on the Gene Ontology (GO) [21] and the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genome (KEGG) [22] terms and, then, categorized based on CLC Genomics Workbench enrichment with InterPro [23], Reactome [24], Human Protein Atlas [25], UniProt [26], IntAct [27], Ensembl [28] and HGNC [29] databases. Functional enrichment analysis by the ClueGo plug-in of the Cytoscape platform was carried out in order to cluster dysregulated genes in relation to their association with the “Gene Ontology-Biological process” and “REACTOME-Pathways” annotation terms.
