2010 Advertising in Drug Metabolism and Disposition

Drug Metabolism and Disposition (DMD)is a monthly journal presenting original in vivo and in vitro approaches to research on the metabolism and disposition of therapeutic agents and environmental chemicals. Published since 1973, DMD's topics include basic and clinical articles on the genetic, nutritional, and hormonal influences on the biological fate of chemicals as well as pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic research. Each full edition of the journal is available online in a pdf format from cover to cover. Readers can view both front and back matter of the journal, and that includes your print ad. For every issue, the table of contents (TOC) as well as the Future TOC and Fast Forward alerts (articles published ahead of print) are emailed to registered individuals. When you buy an email alert ad, your ad is placed in all of these alerts that are disseminated monthly and several times weekly. The electronic version of DMD receives over 680,000 hits per month. Recruitment Advertising

Drug Metabolism and Disposition (DMD) accepts recruitment advertising. Position openings, fellowship opportunities, conference announcements, etc., can be run as display ads in any of the ASPET print publications listed. Same sizes and prices apply for product and recruitment ads unless otherwise noted. Formatting is available for print ads. Banner Ads

Our banner ads have doubled in size! Your 468 x 60 pixel .gif with link to your website will rotate throughout the journal site including homepage, search pages, and articles pages.

Inline/Premium Ads

This option includes the banner PLUS hyperlinks at references to your company name in the text of the articles. This option allows you to be literally at the readers’ fingertips when and where your products are specified.

eTOC Ads

Electronic tables of contents (eTOC) of each issue are emailed to registered users. There are two advertising options (top and bottom placements) on the eTOC alerts. Choose from the two following options. TOP BANNER: Place a banner ad (468 x 60 pixels) at the top of the eTOC alerts that includes a link to your website. BOTTOM TEXT: Place up to 4 lines of text (62 characters per line) and a link to your website at the bottom of the eTOC alerts. Add a logo to your bottom text ad for extra impact!

TOC Package

Tables of contents (TOC) of each issue are emailed to registered individuals. Sponsor one of these alerts and the corresponding TOC page on the journal site. Your banner ad (468 x 60) will appear at the top of the eTOC email and your online display ad (195 x 195) will appear on the TOC page for the chosen issue. Add a full-page, 4-color, opposite TOC ad in the print edition for full TOC coverage!

Banner Specifications:

Submit your ad as a .gif to adnet{at}faseb.org. Provide the URL to which it should be linked.

Screen size: 468 pixels wide x 60 pixels high no larger than 25K.

Provide ALT Text (5 words max) for those who have image loading turned off. Please note that only the first or last frame of banner ads might display for browsers that do not support animated .gifs.

Inline Specifications:

Send a banner file per above instructions.

Send the exact name of your company to be matched in the text and the URL to which it should be linked.

eTOC Top Sponsorship Specifications:

eTOC alert banner is 468 x 60 pixels. Send a .gif file no larger than 25K and at least 72 dpi toadnet{at}faseb.org.

eTOC Bottom Sponsorship Specifications:

Email 4 lines of text (62 characters per line) and the link to your website to adnet{at}faseb.org 35 days prior to the month of sponsorship. Logos should be a .gif file confined to 110 pixels wide by 40 pixels high. Include the URL for hyperlinking to logo.

TOC Package Specifications:

eTOC banner size: 468 pixels wide x 60 pixels. Send a .gif file no larger than 25K and at least 72 dpi to adnet{at}faseb.org

TOC display ad is 195 pixels wide x 195 pixels high. Email a .gif file at least 72 dpi.

DMD is published monthly. Print and online issues close 30 working days before the issue month.

Trim Size

Journal trims 3/16" off top, 1/8" bottom, gutter, and outside edge.

Final trim size is 8 1/8" x 10 7/8".

Live matter should be kept to a minimum of 1/2" inside trimmed edges, and a minimum of 1/2" should be allowed for the bind.

Material Requirements:

Negatives: Right reading emulsion side down.
Screen: 133 line.
Black & White: Screen film negatives to size. Camera-ready material accepted. Provide photocopy of ad with insertion orders.
Color: Color proofs are required for color ads. Film separations required with color key, chromalin or matched print. Any color ads scheduled to appear simultaneously in two (2) or more publications require a set of film separations or files and separate color proofs for each publication.
Digital Files: Digital files are preferred. Hard copy proofs are required for all digital ads. A high resolution pdf file with all fonts embedded is preferred. On all files, please include agency name, contact and phone number; issue date and publication name; return address (for return of materials); list of contents; contact person; file or ad name, number and file type/format.
