Frequently Asked Questions about Member Subscriptions

  1. Will I receive a password? May I share my password with friends, or is use limited solely to me?

    Yes, when you complete the subscription process, you will receive a user name and a password. You are the only one licensed to use this password.

  2. What if I forget my password?

    We have instructions for what to do if you forget your user name or your password. Details about how to do this will be included as part of the subscription process.

  3. Why should I get a member subscription to ASPET Journals Online?

    Member Subscribers have access to:
    Tables of contents, abstracts, full text searching, full text display, PDFs for all issues back to volume 1, number 1, links to Medline and GenBank, future tables of contents, current contents awareness with links to the journal articles e-mailed to them for each issue, use of CiteTrack, interjounal links to other HighWire Press journals, and the advantage of having password access to ASPET Journals Online from any computer connected to the Internet, plus current contents awareness e-mailed directly to you each month with links to the journal articles.

    Without a subscription you have access to Tables of contents, abstracts, and full text searching at no cost and without having to register.

  4. How can I tell if my institution has subscribed? How do I get my institution to subscribe?

    If your institution has a paper subscription, it will be eligible to have an electronic version of the journal as well. In so doing, you will automatically have access to the tables of contents, abstracts, full-text searching, full text display, PDFs, Medline and GenBank links, and future tables of contents. You'll also see a button at the top of the page confirming you're signed in as part of an institution.

    If your institution does not have a paper subscription, it can get an electronic version of ASPET's Journals. If you would like to have an institutional subscription, please contact your local librarian.

  5. Will I still be able to get the paper version? And for how long?

    Yes, individuals and institutions will continue to be able to receive the paper version for the foreseeable future.

  6. Who is eligible for a Member Subscription?

    ASPET Members are eligible for Member Subscriptions to ASPET Journals, providing them with either a paper version of

  7. Can I get the table of contents e-mailed to me automatically?

    Yes, member subscribers can get the current tables of contents e-mailed to them as they become available. You may also receive future tables of contents in the same way.

  8. Since my subscription gives me access to all of ASPET's journals online, do I have to activate my subscription to each one individually?

    No, once you activate your subscription through any one of the journals, your access to the other four is automatic. To log in after that, you will use the same password and user name for all five journals online.

  9. How can I access the ASPET's Journals Online if I am not an ASPET member and I don't have access through an institutional subscription?

    You may wish to apply for ASPET membership or you may wish to purchase an Individual (Non-Member) print-with-online or online-only subscription. You may purchase access to individual articles in JPET, MolPharm, and MI for $10.00 per article and in PharmRev and DMD for $15.00 per article. Without a subscription you have access to full-text articles published more than 12 months ago since 1997, Fast Forward publish-ahead-of-print articles in JPET, MolPharm, and DMD (which are manuscripts accepted for publication but not copyedited and formatted), tables of contents, abstracts, and full text searching (without full text viewing) at no cost and without having to register.
