Little reaction occurred in the postmicrosomal supernatant fraction. Triton X-100 doubled the maximal velocity for the microsomecatalyzed reaction without altering the apparent KM value for HPTMA. This is the first report of glucuronidation of a quaternary ammonium compound in vitro.
